  Welcome to the website of New Opportunities for Walthamstow (NOW) a dynamic regeneration scheme that invested £56m into Walthamstow and the surrounding areas for seven years from 1999 - 2006.
   
   
  NOW created over 1,000 jobs, started 100 businesses increased school children's attainment and revamped Walthamstow's Town Centre. NOW continues to provide benefit as the diverse range of projects it funded are still working hard to help the area and local people. Examples include:

The Limes Community and Children's Centre: The first community centre of its kind in Walthamstow opened in June 2004 and is used by over 300 families each week.

Shopmobility: Assisting disabled and visually impaired residents to get the most out of Walthamstow's town centre. Since 1999, over 1,185 residents have been able to access shops and market traders on a regular basis. .Read More>>
   
Healthy Living: Walthamstow's Kelmscott Leisure Centre is home to Healthy Living, a NOW funded initiative that has helped over 2,500 people to become healthier, fitter and stronger. .Read More>>
